The Sunday Session loves to promote local music, new music, so when the opportunity came along to have Kayleigh Killick on the show we jumped at the chance.

Live everything,  it took some time, but in the end we have had Kayleigh and her guitar accompanist Becky into the studio for what they thought would be a chat and a quick acoustic set…. in the end it was 90 minutes of Kayleigh’s amazing voice bring us some surprising open music for a self confessed introvert.

Kayleigh, launched her debut single Love Ya Life with a gig Saturday, March 12 at Convenients in Northbridge. and the very next night she was in our studio talking about her new start in the local music scene here in Perth.

Growing up in the UK in a musical family, her dad being a piano man, Kayleigh is one of those lucky people who just has a natural talent in playing an intrument, but also not going down the that road of any ‘formal’ voice training, her natural sound is great as her voice has glimpses of  The Cranberries and Lily Allen.

Her single Love Ya Life is out now – you can watch it below – In the studio last night we were honoured with her new song Introvert which we hope will be on the EP that she has coming out sometime in the future (stay tuned for that!)
